Rhein-Main Transition Program
Military aircraft missions at Rhein-Main AB are scheduled to stop in October.
A Rhein-Main Symbolic Closure Ceremony was held at Rhein-Main AB on Oct. 10, 2005.
At the ceremony, the 469th Air Base Group was deactivated and U.S. officials symbolically closed the base and returned it to officials of the German government.

Rhein-Main AB was officially closed on Dec. 31, 2005.
